John Tomalin BA(Hons) TEP - Solicitor and Partner, Head of Department
John has headed the Private Client department since 1986. Working closely with our business, commercial and private clients has enabled him to plan for their future and those of their families. He can advise on Inheritance Tax Planning, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Family Partnerships and Private Company matters. He is a member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (S.T.E.P) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE).

Ann Harris - Solicitor and Partner, Head of Department
An experienced property lawyer joined the firm's property team in 1988. Her expertise has developed in areas mainly concerned with commercial and agricultural matters and her specialisms include commercial leases, building/development sites and environmental law.

Nicola Mugleston LL.B (Hons) - Solicitor
Nicola works within our Conveyancing, Litigation and Private Client departments. She completed her training at Seldons and qualified as a Solicitor on 1st March 2010. Nicola grew up in North Devon and returned here after completing her Law Degree and Legal Practice Course in Bristol.

Sarah Russell - Legal Executive
Sarah, who qualified as a Legal Executive in 2001, has worked in residential conveyancing in North Devon for over fifteen years. Sarah joined Seldons in 2004 to head the Residential Case Management Unit. Sarah is currently on maternity leave.

Lucinda Horrell - F.Inst.L.Ex - Legal Executive
Lucinda joined Seldons in September 2003 as a junior secretary in the Litigation Department. She started training to be a Legal Executive in 2005, and has successfully completed all of her exams, qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in June 2011. Lucinda transferred into the firm’s Private Client department in September 2007, after choosing to take up her studies in this area. She deals with administration of estates and undertakes Will drafting. Lucinda lives with her husband in Yelland and in her spare time enjoys walking her dog, singing and playing the piano.

Richard Nicholls – LL.B (Hons) F. Inst. L. Ex – Legal Executive
Richard was brought up locally before moving to South Wales to study for a Law Degree. Richard returned to Bideford and joined the Seldons Residential Conveyancing Case Management Unit in April 2005. In 2011 Richard qualified as a Legal Executive and completed the Legal Practice Course.
