Slade is a private residential cul-de-sac situated at the top of Northdown Road in Bideford. It is a quiet location comprising of a few detached bungalows and houses. It is rural in character yet still within walking distance of the Quay Front and Town Centre. Conveniently positioned close to Schools, Health Centres and Hospital. It is less than a mile to the nearest junction of the Link Road which has greatly improved accessibility to the region connecting it with the M5 at Tiverton. This has similarly improved access to Barnstaple, the areas major regional centre so that it is now within 15 minutes driving distance. The Coastal resort of Westward Ho! famed for its sandy beach and adjoining Golf Course is within 3 miles.
“The Anchorage” is a deceptively spacious detached single storey bungalow. Set back in a south facing position the bungalow stands within a very large garden plot extending to approximately a quarter of an acre with views from the rear over the Kenwith Valley and beyond. Built in 1947 this is the first time the property has been offered for sale since and it offers 3 bedroomed accommodation with sitting room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. It benefits from PVCu double glazed replacement windows and night storage heating. There is a large side garage together with driveway parking and large feature garden. The bungalow is traditionally constructed with rendered cavity concrete block under a tiled roof. In need of some general updating and refurbishment the property is considered to offer tremendous potential for an extension or adaption to a larger property to suit the plot. Its position and size merits a larger property.
