Children:
Our experience tells us that the most likely losers of family breakdown are any children. Our role is to try and minimise the upset to them and help you resolve and agree questions of where the children should live and contact arrangements. There is a wealth of recognised evidence that children suffer less trauma and upset if their parents are able to agree and they continue to have contact with both parents.
Divorce or Separation:
There is no legal requirement to have a divorce immediately.
That need only happen when you are ready for it. Any interim arrangement can be set out in a separation agreement, which is a flexible document prepared to incorporate all your specific needs and requirements so both you and your spouse know where you stand. We can assist you in all aspects of family breakdown and:-
- Transfer of and/or sale/purchase of any property.
- Assigning insurance policies.
- Sharing or splitting pension policies.
- Preparation of Wills
- Change of name
- Appointing Guardians of children
