Below are frequently asked questions which arise during the selling and buying process and which may be of assistance to you if you are embarking on such a transaction, particularly if you are doing this for the first time.

We hope this guide helps you to follow the steps involved in the conveyancing process. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us and discuss your requirements with one of our conveyancing team. At various stages during the transaction we will need to discuss matters with you and take your instructions on various aspects of your proposed sale and/or purchase so will be in regular contact with you.
Selling a property
What happens on completion day?

Make sure that you remove all rubbish and unwanted items from the property. Aim to complete your move out of the property you are selling by lunchtime. When the money has been received from you buyers solicitors we will confirm completion of your sale to you by telephone (please ensure that you let us know the number where you can be contacted), release the keys to the buyer and send the deeds to the buyers solicitors. Please remember that where there is a long chain of transactions behind the buyer we must wait for the money to be transferred between banks and this can cause delay. Following completion we will also pay off any existing mortgage.
